Giving Back
Social responsibility is now an expectation for any reputable business. However, personally, making a difference in the lives of people and animals in need has always been one of my strongest motivators behind starting and growing my own business. I try to help in any way I can, but I also firmly believe that great impact comes from great focus – no one person can save the world. For this reason, I’ve decided to direct my energy and efforts on a handful of causes that are near and dear to my heart and provide them with my unwavering support. For the time being, I’ve chosen to support stray cat rescues and charity organisations helping people who are dealing with dementia. When you choose to work with me, you’re also contributing to these causes. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
The ”Face Yoga Paws” Project
I will try not to burden you with the details (after all, this is meant to be a positive and happy place), but it’s important to mention that the issue of stray cats is a global and significant one. Its severity can vary from one country to another, as it’s largely influenced by socioeconomic factors.
In my home country, Cyprus, the stray cat population currently stands at 1.5 million, while the human population is approximately 1.2 million (yes, you read that right!), earning the country the fitting title ‘the island of cats.’ Unfortunately, the prevailing Cypriot mentality around the issue isn’t helping, placing a tremendous burden on the few volunteer rescuers on the island. Stray cats in need….

….can be found literally everywhere, and these people, typically women empaths, simply cannot turn a blind eye. Day by day, case by case, the lack of funds, constant stress and worry, along with little to no time for self-care, takes a toll on their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. How do I know? Well, I was one of them for a whole 7 years before moving to the UK in 2018.
So, every month, I select a charity organisation, whether in the UK, Cyprus, or abroad, that, in my opinion, does an amazing job in helping cats in need and providing support to their rescuers, and I donate a share of my sales proceeds to that organisation. The funds will be used towards covering vet bills, food needs and rehoming expenses. This is going to be an ongoing project, but as I occasionally may also ask for your help on ad-hoc projects, please do keep an eye out for my kitty-related posts!
The “Forgetful Face Yogi” Project
Anyone who has had a loved one battling dementia, or currently does, understands the harsh reality of this serious medical condition. It's tough on both patients and their families. My dear grandmother, who is now 87 years old, has been living with dementia for the past few years. The progression of her condition has been absolutely heartbreaking for me, especially as she no longer recognises me during my visits to Cyprus.
I'm grateful that my grandma's small pension, along with contributions from my mum and uncle, has allowed her to receive specialised care in a good care home…

…Not everyone with dementia is as fortunate though, so I've made a promise to do everything in my power to help those who are less privileged live their final years with dignity.
Every month, I choose a charity organisation, whether in the UK or abroad, that, in my opinion, does an excellent job in supporting individuals with dementia and their families. I then donate a share of my sales proceeds to that organisation. I've named this initiative the 'Forgetful Face Yogi' project!
